Who is your family's storyteller?

Every photo tells a story - who will tell it and identify the people? Be your family's storyteller by digitizing them and preserving them forever.

Every image, documents, slide, video and so on is a window into your past. Who will be the curator to speak for the past generations as well as the future? Typically, it's down to one person who inherits all the "stuff" and then does not know what to do with an overwhelming amount of boxes.

Before it's too late, interview or even video interview family members who can share their recollections of the times the images represent. They are the ones who can identify the people in the photos, the date, and where it was taken. As family members pass on, that knowledge can be lost and then you're left with images of people you do not even know.

Prevent this by tackling your "stuff" while parents and grandparents are still with you - ask them the details of your family tree, get names, and ask for the stories behind them. It's only too late when they are gone and that critical information is lost.

By organizing and digitizing your memories now, you not only prevent their deterioration but also get the stories you need to tell their stories. Hire someone with an outside perspective who can quickly and easily go through your "stuff" without the emotional attachment that often slows the process. Ambrosia Archiving is here to help!
